Turns out my better half was the original owner of this Bricklin SV-1…
she doesn’t mention it much, though.

With gull wing doors and a steel safety cage, the Bricklin’s passengers were in a car built like a tank for keeping them uninjured during a crash. Even the name SV-1 stood for ‘Safety Vehicle #1.’ But cars never look good during a crash test! Here you can see the acrylic panels fly off.
